Before INTELLI became the world’s first decentralized AI API, its spark was ignited at the META Hackathon held at CENTRO in Mexico City. It was here that David Saavedra, then exploring the frontiers of AI, encountered the concept of offline-first infrastructure—an idea that would later become the foundation of DS Intelligence.

The 2024 hackathon, hosted by META and CENTRO, brought together the brightest minds in Latin America to imagine the future of technology. Among them was Saavedra, whose exposure to edge computing and offline neural models led him to a single insight: AI doesn’t need the cloud to be powerful. It needs to be sovereign.

From Inspiration to Execution

What began as curiosity turned into a mission. Over the following months, Saavedra assembled a team and began developing what would become INTELLI: a fully modular, offline-first AI API platform for businesses and institutions. The principles of privacy, local execution, and agentic design—planted during that hackathon—are now embedded in every layer of the INTELLI ecosystem.
